New Delhi, November 24 (IANS). The weather patterns are changing in the country. The effect of snowfall in hilly states is being seen in Delhi-NCR as well as in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana. Dr. Naresh Kumar, senior scientist of the Indian Meteorological Department, said on Sunday that the temperature is likely to fall further in the next two-three days.
Dr. Naresh Kumar told IANS that due to western disturbance, light and moderate snowfall has been seen in Jammu and Kashmir. There has been some snowfall in Himachal also. Apart from this, western disturbances have not had much impact on other states.
He said that the temperature is normal now. The minimum temperature is 10 to 12 degrees. The weather is going to remain like this in the next two-three days, after which a decline will be seen. The weather is changing, due to which the temperature will drop. After three-four days, we can expect moderate to dense fog in Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
Regarding the weather of Delhi-NCR, he said that the weather here is absolutely normal. There is no possibility of dense fog in the coming two-four days. Normally the temperature will drop as time progresses.
It is noteworthy that with the change in weather, cold has started being felt in many states of North India including Delhi-NCR. The problem of pollution has persisted in the national capital Delhi for many days. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), by 7.30 am on Sunday, the average air quality index (AQI) of the capital Delhi had reached 366 points, which falls in the severe category.
