Bundi : The fourth district level Yoga Olympiad program organized by Rajasthan School Education Council was held in the Balchandpara Mahatma Gandhi School campus of the city. In which 12 teams from across the district demonstrated their yogic skills by participating in asana, pranayama, kriya, bandha in different age groups. The chief guest of the inauguration ceremony of the program was Tej Kanwar, joint director of the education department, Kota division. It was presided over by DEO (hon.) Rajendra Vyas. Special guests were District Sports Officer Harshvardhan Singh Shekhawat, ADEO Om Goswami, Program Officer of Samagra Shiksha Rajesh Chaturvedi. The guests started the program by garlanding the statue of Mother Saraswati and lighting the lamp. In which the local school students gave the message of health by giving cultural programs and artistic yoga presentations through Rameshta Yoga.
Program coordinator, senior physical teacher Vijaybhan Singh Chauhan said that students of all government, non-government, Swami Vivekananda Model and Kasturba Gandhi schools of the district participated. Acting Principal Navneet Jain presented the report of the program. It was conducted by senior teacher Rashmi Lakhotia. On this occasion, Krida Bharati’s district yoga head Deepak Gurjar, NSO district coordinator Shikhar Pancholi, yoga instructor Bhupendra Yogi played an active role. Presiding DEO Rajendra Kumar Vyas said that yoga keeps the mind stable. Regular practice increases students’ concentration. Yoga is an invaluable gift to mankind from the great sages of ancient India. Today, millions of people around the world are actively practicing yoga and have incorporated it into their daily lives. Health experts consider yoga as the basic mantra of physical and mental fitness. The habit of practicing yoga can help you in reducing the risk of many types of diseases along with keeping you physically active.
