New Delhi, 6 December (IANS). A team of some environmentalists and experts met Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Thursday to solve the problem of environmental pollution and discussed the solution to the problem.
A delegation of citizens and experts including Dr. Sanjeev Bagai, environmentalists Jai Dhar Gupta and Vimlendu Jha and Bhavreen Khandari met Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi to discuss solutions to the worsening air pollution crisis. He presented a petition urging immediate action to resolve the problem. During the discussion, experts also suggested solutions to solve the problem. Experts said that the entire environment is being affected due to pollution. Along with humans, trees and plants are also affected by this. The ability of trees and plants to absorb carbon dioxide and emit oxygen is also being affected. Ultimately its impact is on humans. Therefore, if humans are to be saved, everyone should come forward to solve this problem. Leaders and people in power should play a special role in this.
Rahul Gandhi assured the delegation that he would raise the issue in Parliament and advocate prompt action on their demands while giving priority to the health and well-being of citizens and the environment. He said that the problem of pollution is very serious. Every person is affected by this. Due to this people’s health is deteriorating. Especially children and the elderly have to face a lot of problems due to air pollution. Therefore, it is the responsibility of all of us to solve this problem on priority basis.
