Alwar : Delhi is now going to be closer to Alwar. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has expedited the process regarding the proposed metro corridor between Delhi and Alwar. Presently metro train runs from Delhi to Gurugram. There is a plan to run a rapid train from Gurugram to Alwar. However, it will take two to three years for the metro corridor to be built. But after the corridor is built, a rapid train will run from Alwar to Delhi at a speed of 160 km per hour, which will cover the distance to Delhi in one and a half hours. Also, industrial relations between Delhi and Rajasthan will become stronger. It will be connected to the metro corridor in front of Hero Honda Chowk and Cyber Hub in Gurugram Cyber City. With this, people coming from Manesar to Alwar will also be able to reach Cyber City.
Rajasthan- Haryana Government’s approval
The DPR for the Delhi-SNB section has been approved for construction by the Board of NCRTC in December 2018, by the Haryana Government in February 2019 and by the Rajasthan Government in June 2019.
Industrial development will get wings
People will be able to do daily up-down between Delhi and Alwar. This will take them only one and a quarter to one and a half hours. Whereas currently it takes three and a half to four hours to go from Alwar to Delhi.
Instead of living in and around Delhi, people would prefer to live from Manesar to Alwar. This will also reduce population, traffic pressure and pollution in Delhi NCR.
Many multi-national companies have industrial units in Shahjahanpur, Neemrana, Behror and Sotanala Industrial. Due to lack of railway line, industrial development here is lagging behind.
It will pass through urbanized and industrial areas of Haryana and connect Delhi Airport to the RRTS network to increase the productivity of the National Capital Region.
Development will happen in three phases….
Delhi – SNB – Alwar RapidX is a 164 km sanctioned semi-high speed rail line, which will connect Delhi – Gurugram – Dharuhera – Rewari – SNB (Shahjahanpur – Neemrana – Behror) – Alwar.
NCRTC will develop it in three phases. The Regional Rapid Transit System line (RRTS) in its first phase will connect Delhi SNB (106 km). After this, there is a plan to connect SNB to Sotanala (35 km) in the second phase and finally SNB to Alwar (58 km) in the third phase. This will be the entire 199 km long corridor line. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 37,000 crore.
waiting for dpr
The DPR (Detailed Project Report) of the Delhi-Alwar Metro Corridor is currently under consideration with the Government of India. After the DPR is approved, NCRTC will start work on this project.
