Ranchi, 7 December (IANS). Minister of State for Defense and BJP MP from Ranchi Lok Sabha Sanjay Seth has received a threatening message. The criminal has sent an SMS demanding extortion money of Rs 50 lakh. The Minister of State for Defense has complained about this matter to Delhi Police.
While talking to IANS on Saturday, he said that I have informed the Delhi Police. Based on the information, senior officials of Delhi Police have met. Delhi Police is investigating. I have also informed DGP Jharkhand. My job was to give information, I gave it. Now the police have to do their work. Prime Minister Narendra Modi teaches us all to work. With his inspiration, we all are working, roaming in the area and meeting people. Have come to the metropolitan meeting. We all are doing our work, the police is doing its work.
On the law and order situation of the state, he has said that this question should now be asked to the Chief Minister, perhaps he would be able to explain it in a better way. Because, they have to look after the law and order of the state. We all have to engage in public service. We are doing our work, police are doing their duty, they can tell us better.
On the demand for extortion, he said that we cannot tell it like this. Whatever we had to say and write, we have written it to Delhi Police and Jharkhand DGP.
It is being said in media reports that the Minister of State for Defense had received a threatening message on his mobile on Friday evening. In which a demand of Rs 50 lakh was made. After this message, the Minister of State for Defense informed the DCP of Delhi.
It is being said that the mobile from which the message had come. Its location is Kanke area of Ranchi. After this the minister has talked to the DGP of Jharkhand. Based on his complaint, the police is investigating the matter.
