Jaipur : ‘Give Up’ campaign is being run by the Food Department in Rajasthan. This campaign is being run to remove names from ration cards. The government says that those who are capable should remove their names from the food security list themselves. Time has been given till January 31 to voluntarily remove your name from the ration card. Meanwhile, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department Minister Sumit Godara has warned that action will be taken against those who do not voluntarily remove their names by January 31.
Sumit Godara said that by removing the names of capable people, eligible beneficiaries can be added to the food security list. To create awareness about this, posters should be put up at ration shops, as well as wide publicity should be given on print, electronic media and social media. The Food Security Portal will start from January 1. Godara also received suggestions to simplify the process of adding names to the list in the review meeting of the department at the Secretariat on Tuesday in the meeting of District Logistics Officers.
Action will be taken against those who misuse LPG cylinders
Sumit Godara reviewed the progress of seeding of LPG ID and Aadhaar number and e-KYC of food security beneficiaries. Along with this, instructions were given to remove the names of those who did not get e-KYC done after December 31 from the list. He directed that action should be taken once a week by surprise inspection for misuse and illegal refilling of LPG cylinders. So that domestic cylinders are not misused in the LPG Cylinder Subsidy Scheme.
The pending matter of appointment of ration dealer should be resolved soon.
Regarding the pending cases of compassionate appointment after the death of the ration dealer, he said that these should be settled on priority basis. Instructions were given to complete the tender process as per rules instead of making alternative arrangements for transportation of wheat. He gave clear instructions to all the officers to take action against those doing illegal gas refilling.
He also directed to issue ID cards to the members of the Allocation Advisory Committee and develop a provision for recovery of pension from retired government employees previously associated with NF SA. He reviewed the district-wise progress and took suggestions to solve the practical problems arising in the work.
