Miscreants broke into an abandoned house in Kota, seized cash worth lakhs

Kota News Desk: The incidents of theft are not stopping in the city. Once again thieves have broken into an abandoned house. Unknown miscreants broke the lock of the main gate of the house and entered inside. They ran away with cash worth Rs 1.5 lakh, LED screen and silver jewellery. At the time of the incident, the family members had gone to the village to attend Gami. On returning the lock of the house was found broken. Stuff was scattered in the rooms. The victim has lodged a complaint of theft at Nanta police station.

Nishant Jain, resident of Gyan Sarovar Colony, told that grandmother had died a few days ago. The family members had gone to Kapren to attend grandmother’s funeral. Also left for the village at 8 pm on Thursday night. When I returned at 6 am on Friday morning, the lock of the main gate was broken. The latch of the wooden gate inside was cut. When I went into the rooms, I saw that stuff was scattered here and there. Unknown miscreants stole Rs 1.5 lakh cash, LED screen and a box of bangles from the house. Silver bangles were kept in the bangle box. The incident probably happened after 12 midnight. By 11 o’clock the neighbors were awake. Was strolling outside the house. Complaint of theft has been given in Nanta police station.
