‘Mission Jeevan’ launched to curb road accidents and overloading in Kota

Kota : Kota District Administration will now audit every death in case of death in a road accident. ‘Mission Jeevan’ will be run by the district administration from 28th November to 15th December to prevent accidents, control overloading and overcrowding. Its instructions were given by District Collector Dr. Ravindra Goswami in the meeting of the District Road Safety Committee on Monday. The District Collector issued instructions while discussing the main issues of road safety in depth and reviewed the progress of the decisions taken earlier. He directed the police department to counsel the drivers, street vendors and shopkeepers and to take strict action even if the rules are violated. While reviewing the recent accidents, he directed that adequate lighting should be arranged at the possible accident sites. Under this, drivers of child vehicles will also be counseled. If you don’t agree after this, action will be taken.

Mark the yellow line, take action if crossed

He expressed concern over the possibility of accidents due to illegal occupation of handcarts and retailers on Anantpura to Luv-Kush Vatika road. Instructed the traffic police and KDA to mark the limit through yellow line marking and take action against the violators.

control private bus operations

In order to improve the traffic chaos caused by parking of buses in Nayapura due to boarding of passengers by private bus operators, the Collector gave instructions to operate the buses from 6 pm to 10 pm under the pilot project.

Emphasis on use of multipurpose parking

Strict instructions were given to the traffic police to make multipurpose parking mandatory. It will be ensured that the vehicles of shopkeepers and customers are parked in the parking area. Legal action will be taken against those who do not follow the rules.

Workshop for children’s families tomorrow

On the instructions of Dr. Goswami, a special workshop on road safety will be organized on 27th November at SIAM Auditorium for the drivers and conductors of Bal Vahini running in 514 schools of Kota district. During this time, necessary information related to road safety will be given to the drivers and school administration.
