MLA Ravindra Bhati raised the issue of border villages in the assembly and listed the promises made by the government

Barmer : Shiv MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati raised the issue of water scarcity in the villages of the border areas in the assembly on Friday. He said in the House that ‘Unde tale ro paani peen mhe aith puga haan’ (we have reached here by drinking water from a deep well). So who can know the value of water more than us people living in the desert. Shiv MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati said that water has not reached the border areas since independence and we are searching for water on Mars. The situation on the ground is different.

Demanded a package for the conservation of old drinking water sources

Talking about the drinking water crisis in the border villages, Ravindra Bhati said that water is supplied from Mohangarh Lift Canal. That too stops due to lack of electricity many times. Just as the Central Government has approved ERCP, Narmada and Indira Gandhi Canal Project should also be linked in the same way. So that the water shortage problem is solved. Along with this, Ravindra Bhati said that a special package should be announced to preserve the sources of drinking water, whether it is Bawdi, Beri or village ponds. So that the farmers can sow in their land along with solving the problem of drinking water shortage in areas like desert and DNP.

Bhati said- I have come after making a promise to 80 year old elders

Ravindra Singh Bhati said that I had gone to the border village Bijawal, where the elderly people were sitting near the tank and protesting. They were saying that they have not got water for 30 days. Why did the situation of protesting arise? Bhati said that in this era we are searching for water on Mars, while hundreds of villages are still struggling with the shortage of drinking water. Bhati said that I had promised the 80-year-old elderly people of Bandasar village that I will bring water for you. Therefore, you should think a little about the villages of the border area.
