Udaipur : Udaipur The last meeting of the municipality’s board was held on Monday in the hospitality of Vallabhnagar MLA Udaylal Dangi and under the chairmanship of municipality president Guddi Devi Meena. It was inaugurated by Bhinder Tehsildar and Additional Executive Officer Satishchandra Patidar. The issues of roads including electricity and water dominated the meeting. The MLA took information about the development works from all the councilors one by one. After which the MLA approved spending an amount of Rs 15 lakh each for setting up 10 panghats for adequate drinking water supply, road lights from Hanuman temple to police station and construction of drains in all the wards. Instructions were given to the concerned officers to issue tenders for all the works soon and improve the system of the city. The MLA said that there has definitely been a delay, but there will be complete development of the town. Tenders for the dilapidated road have been issued and work will start soon. The MLA appealed to everyone to cooperate in the development work. The MLA was seen in a sharp tone in the meeting; he instructed the department officials to present their views with the documents before the meeting. Warned that any officer or employee who does not want to work will have to be removed. Said that officers and employees do not work and they have to face defamation, this will not happen. Senior draftsman Kailash Chandra Meena read out the proposal of the previous meeting. Councilors complained that most of the work was not done.

The cash book was checked by bringing the correct documents in the meeting: On the instructions of the MLA, Municipal Clerk Ranu was instructed to present the account of the last 2 years of tenure in the House. After this, Executive Officer Satish Chandra Patidar and Kanod Tehsildar Ranjit Yadav brought the documents including cash book to the House and examined them and asked questions regarding the payments made.
Failed arrangement of PHD, not getting enough drinking water: A major problem came up in the meeting regarding the irregularities in the water supply department. The MLA gave instructions to the assistant engineer of the department, Parasram Bijarania, to improve the system and sought answers about the problem of drinking water in the town. Said that why the work which was to be completed in March-2024 has not been done till now. The officer replied that it was a critical work and said that the work would continue for 6 more months. Councilors complained about no water for 15 days. Instructions were given to improve the system soon.
Municipal employees were found engaged in contractor’s work.: Regarding the non-cleanliness of Sulabh toilets built in the city, the MLA called the contractor in the meeting and took information about the employees. The employee who was employed by the municipality through an agency was also seen working in the documents of the said contractor. After this the MLA directed the concerned officials to take action against the contractor.
His presence was: In the meeting, Assistant Engineer of Water Supply Department Parasram Bijarania, Junior Engineer Ashwin Kumar Meena, Nitin Kudal, Assistant Engineer of Electricity Department Mahesh Sharma, Junior Engineer Govind Dhakad, Councilor Laxmi Lal Od, Komal Chaudhary, Daulatram Bhoi, Lokesh Purohit, Gopal Khatik, Namrata. Kunwar Solanki, Paras Nagauri, Bhavani Singh Chauhan, Prakash Lakhara, Lali Bai Meghwal, Deepak Sharma, Rajkumari Kamariya, Prem Kunwar Chauhan were present. There is some delay in speeding up the development work, but have faith that there will be complete development of the area. There will be no discrimination against anyone. The tender for the broken road has been done, work will start soon. The renovation work of the hospital will also gain momentum. Will soon lay the foundation stone for work worth Rs 5 crore for the beautification of the lotus pond.
