‘Modi is offering chadar and his people are filing court case’ Gehlot said on Ajmer Dargah issue

Ajmer News Desk: The uproar continues after the court accepted the petition declaring Ajmer Sharif Dargah as a Shiva temple. Questions are being raised on this decision of the court. Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot took the Modi government to task on this matter and said that the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself offers chadar there and people from his party are filing petitions.

Ashok Gehlot said that Ajmer Dargah is 800 years old. People from all over the world come there. Due to his action, a case was filed in the court, Muslims and Hindus also come from all the countries of the world. No matter who the Prime Minister is, be it Congress or BJP, from the time of Pandit Nehru till Modi ji, chadar is offered in the Dargah on behalf of all the Prime Ministers. He has so much recognition that offering a sheet has its own meaning. You are also offering bedsheets and people from your party are also filing cases in the court. If you are creating confusion, what will people be thinking?

“How will there be development if we increase the distance so much?”

He further said, there can be some discrimination in every religion, there can be some disagreement in the name of religion. One can think a little about one’s religion, but if we create so much hatred and increase distance, how will there be development? Where there is unrest, development cannot take place; there development comes to a halt. Who should say these things, Modi ji and RSS should say these things. He is running the country now.

“What are the core issues that matter more?”

Gehlot said – When the law is passed in the Parliament on the situation of 15 August 1947, then what will happen to the core issues of the country if we remain stuck in what was there in the temple and dargah, what was there earlier? It matters more what the core issues are. Inflation, unemployment, it is an issue of development, it is an issue of economy, it is an issue of social justice and social systems.

“Politics is going on in the name of religion in the country.”

Ashok Gehlot said that as far as I know, there should not be any question on the religious places which were built till August 15, 1947, irrespective of the religion, there is a law for this. Ever since the RSS BJP government came to power, you have seen politics going on in the name of religion in the country. Be it Maharashtra, Haryana or Parliament elections, all the elections are being won on the basis of polarization. These people are openly distributing tickets on the basis of religion. The situation in the country is very serious, this situation is not easy, it is a matter of looking at those who are in power today.
