Mohana Singh became the first female fighter pilot to join the Tejas fighter fleet, will fly indigenous aircraft

Jaipur : Squadron Leader Mohana Singh, one of India’s first female fighter pilots has now achieved another major milestone. She has now become the first female fighter pilot to join the 18 ‘Flying Bullets’ squadron of India’s ‘Made in India’ LCA Tejas fighter jet. This move is a major breakthrough for women in the Indian Air Force.

Recently, an exercise called ‘Tarang Shakti’ took place in Jodhpur, in which Mohana Singh flew with the deputy chiefs of the three armies. During this, she gave all the necessary instructions and helped the deputy chiefs of the Army and Navy before flying in the Tejas jet. Let us tell you that Mohana Singh, Bhavana Kant and Avani Chaturvedi were part of the group of the first female fighter pilots of the Indian Air Force. Now Mohana is flying the LCA Tejas jet, while her partner is flying the Su-30 MKI fighter aircraft. This exercise is also considered very important to promote India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.
