Rajasthan : Monsoon has become active in the state. During this time, the Meteorological Department has also issued a big alert. According to the department, lightning may strike along with thunder in Sawai Madhopur and Tonk districts within the next 3 hours. At the same time, moderate to heavy rain is likely to continue and heavy rain is likely at some places. The department has issued an orange alert for both these districts.
Yellow alert for rain here
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain at some places in Dungarpur, Banswara, Pratapgarh, Udaipur, Kota, Bundi, Sikar, Churu and Chittorgarh districts. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for all these districts. Let us tell you that during the 60 days of monsoon in the state, this time there has been 8 percent more water inflow as compared to last year. 269 dams of the state are filled to the brim and inflow of water has increased in 300 dams. At the same time, water is continuing in more than 100 dams and the engineers of the Water Resources Department are expecting them to be full soon.
Heavy rain in Sawaimadhopur
On the other side, in Sawai Madhopur, after a humid day on Sunday, there was heavy rain in the evening. After the rain, water flowed at a fast speed on the roads and streets of the city. The weather became pleasant. The temperature also dropped after the rain. Earlier, the bright sun shone in the morning. Later in the afternoon, the game of hide and seek of the sun continued. Thick clouds covered the sky after noon. As a result, there was drizzle for some time. After that, there was heavy rain from around six o’clock to six thirty. The rain gave relief to the people from the heat. The sudden heavy rain also caused problems to pedestrians and drivers.
Power went off as soon as it started raining
As soon as heavy rain started at six in the evening at the district headquarters, the power went out. This led to darkness in the streets, localities and markets of the city. People faced trouble due to the power outage. However, power came back after about 20 minutes. On Sunday, the maximum temperature recorded at the district headquarters was 34 degrees and the minimum temperature was 27 degrees Celsius. After the rain, the inflow of water in the water sources of the district has increased. The water level in the ponds, rivers, drains and dams of the area has risen. Drops of water kept falling till late in the evening. Coolness spread in the weather after the rain.
