Jaipur : Before farewell, monsoon became active once again in Rajasthan. It rained in more than a dozen districts on Thursday. Even today the rainy season will continue in most of the districts. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in more than 20 districts for three days. Weather Center Jaipur has issued yellow alert of rain in 23 districts today. Earlier on Thursday also the rainy season continued. It rained up to one inch in Banswara, Bharatpur, Salumber. 19 mm rainfall was recorded at Galwa Dam of Uniara. In Niwai city, the city roads became rivers due to heavy rain for about two and a quarter hours. Apart from this, it rained in many districts including Jalore, Chittorgarh, Baswara, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur.
Rain alert in these districts today
The Meteorological Department today announced rain in Ajmer, Alwar, Banswara, Baran, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Dausa, Dholpur, Dungarpur, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Karauli, Kota, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Sawai Madhopur, Sirohi, Tonk, Udaipur, Jalore and Pali. Yellow alert for rain has been issued in the district.
This rainy season will continue till 29th September
According to the Meteorological Department, the south-west monsoon has departed from some other parts of Rajasthan. The withdrawal line is now passing through Churu, Ajmer, Mount Abu. In such a situation, light to moderate rainfall activities along with thunderstorms will continue in most of the districts of Eastern Rajasthan till September 29. At the same time, in most parts of Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions of Western Rajasthan, the weather is likely to remain mainly dry for the next three-four days.
