Flood-like conditions have arisen in Tonk due to rain. In such a situation, the Tonk Collector has declared a day’s holiday for school children today. Some youths got trapped in the river due to the breaking of the embankment of Ramsagar Dam. Apart from this, water entered the school and houses due to heavy rain. At the same time, three workers died due to the collapse of the factory wall due to heavy rain in Bikaner. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in 21 districts of the state today.

Three youths along with a tractor got stuck in the water on the Kekri-Malpura road. A pickup overturned in the strong flow of water in Chandsen village. During this, the villagers stopped the pickup with the help of ropes.
Schools are closed in Tonk today
Tonk Collector Dr. Saumya Jha has declared Saturday holiday in schools due to flood situation and torrential rain. As such, all government and non-government schools from class 1 to 12 in Tonk district are closed today. However, there is no holiday for school staff. The collector said that due to rain, July 6 has been declared a holiday for children in schools and July 7 is a Sunday holiday.
Three died due to wall collapse in Bikaner

In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall was recorded in Malpura of Tonk at 176 mm, Madhorajpura of Jaipur at 163 mm, Sajjangarh of Banswara at 116 mm and Fagi of Jaipur at 82 mm. 181 mm of rain was recorded in Nainwan of Bundi. 110 mm of rain was recorded in Bundi and 95 mm in Hindoli. Waterfalls flowed from the mountains at Dhundheshwar Mahadev site. In Malpura’s Chandsen dam, 334 mm or one foot one inch of water fell in 24 hours. Apart from this, 8.15 inches of rain was recorded in Todaraisingh and more than seven inches of rain was recorded in Tonk.
