Jaipur : two dams have broken in the capital Jaipur in the last 24 hours and due to this there is an atmosphere of chaos. Crops are getting spoiled and water is rapidly flowing towards the towns. Yesterday afternoon, the Nurka dam broke in Khoh Nagorian town near Agra Road area of Jaipur, due to which the graveyard was flooded and many bodies were washed away. After that a dam broke near Bassi subdivision. The hard work of the villagers who were saving the Bishansinghpura dam by working day and night for the last 15 days in village Bishansinghpura of Gram Panchayat Khijuria Brahmanan of Panchayat Samiti Tunga area of Bassi subdivision area, was wasted due to heavy rains and the negligence of the responsible people. Due to continuous heavy rains and increased flow of water in the Dhundh river, the Bishansinghpura dam broke on Monday afternoon. The people present on the spot were disappointed for once due to the breaking of the dam, but then the villagers united and gathered on the spot to save the remaining part of the dam. The water reached the population through the fields.
The flow of water in the Dhundh river is constantly increasing…
The flow of water was high in all the areas on Monday in the Dhundh river which passes through Kanota area, Hingonia, Sankh Sindhauli, Bishansinghpura dam area, Sambharia and reaches Chandel. Traffic remained disrupted throughout the day on the roads from Sankh and Ruppura to Bishansinghpura, while traffic remained completely closed on two roads.
If the administration had shown responsibility then the dam would not have broken…
Local villagers said that if the administration had shown responsibility in saving the dam, then the dam would not have broken for sure, but the administration did not show any special interest in saving the dam, due to which the efforts of the villagers were wasted.
