Monsoon continues in Rajasthan, yellow alert till September 7, know the latest update

Jaipur : After the monsoon became active, rain is continuing in many districts of the state. Heavy rain was recorded in the Mewar region in the last 24 hours on Tuesday. Heavy rain occurred at some places in Udaipur, Dungarpur and Banswara districts. The highest rainfall was recorded in Bhungra of Banswara at 115 mm i.e. four inches. After heavy rains in the area, rivers and streams overflowed. Gates of Mahi-Swaroop-Udayasagar had to be opened. Seeing the continuous water inflow in Mahi Dam, 4 gates were opened one meter each at around 4:26 pm on Tuesday evening. XEN PC Raigar of Mahi Department said that in view of the inflow of water from Madhya Pradesh and rain, water is being drained by opening the gates of the dam. Similarly, after the monsoon activity for two days in Sagwara of Dungarpur, Margia Dam located near Antari on Dungarpur road has overflowed. Due to the overflow of water here, there is hope of filling of Lodeshwar Dam of Sagwara. The filling capacity of Margia Dam is 8.85 meters. The dam is full due to the rain in the area for two days. Currently, a sheet of water of 15 cm is flowing on Margia Dam. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain till September 7.

Gates of Swaroop Sagar and Uday Sagar lakes opened

Udaipur witnessed heavy rain for three hours on Tuesday morning. Sisama river was also in spate. Flow was also fast in the Buzhra river. Due to good inflow, the gates of the overflowing Swaroop Sagar and Udai Sagar lakes were opened. Due to increased inflow from the Sisama river, 4 gates of Swaroop Sagar were opened by 6-6 inches at 12.50 pm. In this way, the Aaiyad river started flowing fast for the first time in this season. Due to increased inflow in Udai Sagar, both the gates were also opened in the morning.

A young man died due to lightning, two people got burnt

Farmer Om Prakash Meghwal (45) of Morra died after being struck by lightning in a field near Merta City in Nagaur on Tuesday evening. While Ram Ratan (40) of Sogawas and Sita Devi (38) of Kelwara suffered severe burn injuries. The postmortem of the deceased was conducted in the hospital, while the two burnt farmers were admitted to the hospital. All three were working in the field when this accident happened. On receiving the information, Merta MLA Laxmanram Meghwal also reached the hospital.

Four gates of Gudha dam opened

After the rain in Bhilwara and Kherad area, water is continuously flowing into Gudha Dam in Hindoli area of ​​Bundi district. Due to this, on Tuesday afternoon, the Water Resources Department opened four gates of Gudha Dam by four feet each and discharged 12180 cubic water per second. This caused a surge in the Mej river.
