Jaipur : Monsoon has knocked in the western part of Rajasthan as well. After the south-eastern parts, the monsoon arrived in the western part yesterday. With the entry, there was heavy rain in Pali, Jalore, Barmer, Jodhpur. The rain that started late night in the capital Jaipur continued this morning as well. There was intermittent rain in most areas of the city. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be good rain in the state for the next 10 days. An alert of heavy rain has been issued in 8 districts of Rajasthan today.

There is a warning of thunderstorm and lightning along with normal rain in the remaining districts. Heavy to very heavy rain may occur in the districts adjoining Bharatpur and Jaipur on 29th and 30th. There was good rain in the catchment area of Bisalpur Dam around Ajmer-Tonk. Due to good rain, there was inflow of water in Bisalpur Dam yesterday.
