Tonk : Tonk city was covered with clouds from 8 am onwards. The rain which started half an hour later continued till 10:30 am. Due to the heavy rain, many bikes and goods kept outside houses and shops in the old Tonk area were washed away. Houses in the Kalipaltan area were flooded. The water could not be drained even half an hour after the rain stopped. As such, the roads remained like rivers. While the heavy rain brought relief to the people from the heat, people got troubled as water filled in their houses.

Here, on the instructions of District Collector Dr. Saumya Jha, Municipal Council Commissioner Mamta Nagar inspected the city. The Collector has asked to remove obstructions and encroachments in water drainage. Meanwhile, water filled in Ganeti village RAUMA school. CDEO Pannalal Bairwa inspected the school. It came to light that there is a threat to the school building and the safety of the students.
82 mm of rain fell
According to the irrigation department, 82 mm rainfall was recorded in the city in two hours in the morning. Earlier in the night, 15 mm rainfall was recorded in Tonk tehsil area. So far, 294.04 mm i.e. 47.48 percent rainfall has occurred in the district. Whereas the annual average rainfall is 619.32 mm.
