Monsoon will remain active in eastern Rajasthan, dams are overflowing, gate of Kalisindh dam opened

Jaipur : Monsoon will remain active in some parts of eastern Rajasthan for the next 4-5 days. Rainfall activities will increase in some parts of southern and eastern Rajasthan. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall at some places in Udaipur-Kota division. According to the Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of increase in rain activities in some parts of Jodhpur division in western Rajasthan for five days.

According to the Meteorological Centre, in the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain accompanied by thundershowers has been recorded at some places in the state and heavy rain has been recorded at some places in Jaipur, Jhalawar and Bharatpur districts. In the last 24 hours, the maximum rainfall in eastern Rajasthan has been recorded at Gangdhar, Jhalawar at 87 mm, Maujmabad, Jaipur at 86 mm and Deeg, Bharatpur at 66 mm and Osian, Jodhpur in western Rajasthan have recorded 36 mm rain.

One gate of Kalisindh Dam opened, 24.25 cusecs of water discharged

Due to the rain in Madhya Pradesh including the Hadauti region, one gate of the Kalisindh Dam in Jhalawar district was opened 20 cm and 24.20 cusecs of water was discharged. Due to good rains at many places in Jhalawar district on Sunday, the faces of the farmers brightened up. The rain started at 12 noon in the city, which continued intermittently till 2 o’clock. Whereas, due to good rains in the rural areas, the crops flourished again. The atmosphere in Kota city was extremely hot and humid throughout the day. There was drizzle at around 2 o’clock in the afternoon. After that, the humidity increased further. Clouds covered the sky at 5 o’clock in the evening, but passed without raining.
