Rajasthan : According to the department, during this period the maximum rainfall was recorded in Dholpur’s Sarmathura at 120 mm, Bahadurpur in Alwar at 96 mm, Rajgarh at 85 mm, Shahpura in Jaipur at 75 mm, Alwar at 66 mm and Goluwala in Hanumangarh at 51 mm. According to the department, from Wednesday morning to 5:30 pm, Churu recorded 36 mm, Dungarpur 28.5 mm, Alwar 27.4 mm, Karauli 11.5 mm, Mount Abu recorded 11.6 mm rain.

Yellow alert for rain in 14 districts of Rajasthan

The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in 14 districts of Rajasthan. Yellow alert has been issued in Jaipur, Jaipur city, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Bundi, Baran, Kota, Jhunjhunu, Churu, Sikar, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh and Bhilwara. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in these districts. A warning of thunderstorm and lightning has also been issued.

The maximum temperature in Phalodi was 39.2 degrees Celsius

According to the department, on Wednesday the maximum temperature in Phalodi was 39.2 degrees Celsius, Jaisalmer Barmer 39 degrees Celsius, Bikaner-Ganganagar 37.3 degrees Celsius, day temperature in other major places of the state was recorded between 36.8 degrees Celsius to 30.4 degrees Celsius. At most places, last night’s temperature was recorded between 31.5 degrees Celsius to 21.9 degrees Celsius.

Possibility of heavy rain in western Rajasthan

Jaipur Meteorological Centre in-charge Radheshyam Sharma said that the low pressure area over Madhya Pradesh has weakened and turned into a circulation system on Wednesday and the monsoon trough line is passing through Bikaner, Sikar today. He said that due to its effect, moderate to heavy rain and sometimes heavy rain is likely in some parts of Bharatpur, Jaipur, Ajmer division and Shekhawati region on Wednesday. There is also a possibility of rain with thunder in some parts of Kota, Udaipur and Bikaner division. He said that rain is likely to continue in many parts of eastern Rajasthan and some parts of Bikaner division of western Rajasthan for the next four-five days.
