Monsoon will wreak havoc in Rajasthan from 23 to 29 August, decades old rain record will be broken in the state

Rajasthan : Recently, there was a lot of monsoon rain in Rajasthan. After which the normal life of the people was disrupted. From the road to the house, there was waterlogging. Due to the rain, the rivers are already overflowing. At the same time, monsoon rain is going to wreak havoc again for the next two weeks. The Monsoon Turf Line is passing through Rajasthan. A low pressure area is forming in the Gulf of Arabian Sea. Due to this, the monsoon is going to remain active for 5 to 6 days continuously in eastern Rajasthan. While there will be heavy rain in some districts of western Rajasthan as well.

Monsoon activity is going to continue till the beginning of September along with the remaining days of August. First, there is a possibility of heavy rain in many places from 23 to 29 August. While there is a strong possibility of heavy rain from 30 August to 5 September. The Meteorological Department has forecast the weather for the next two weeks.

Rainfall Forecast 23 August to 29 August-2024

According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon is likely to remain active in many parts of eastern Rajasthan for the next 5-6 days and there is a strong possibility of light to moderate rain and heavy rain at many places in Jaipur, Kota, Ajmer, Udaipur divisions. There is a possibility of very heavy rain at some places in Kota, Udaipur division on 25-26 August. During the first week, there is a possibility of more than normal rainfall in most parts of the state and excess rainfall in the southern parts.

While in some parts of Bikaner, Jodhpur division of western Rajasthan, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain in the coming days and heavy rain at some places in Jodhpur division on 25-26 August. The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of above normal rainfall in the state during the second week (30 August – 05 September 2024). At the same time, it is being said that if there is more rain than what has happened so far, then all the records will be broken.
