Monthly meeting of Jaisalmer Jal Jeevan Mission and Atal Groundwater Scheme organized

Jaisalmer : Jaisalmer The monthly meeting of Central Government’s important scheme Jal Jeevan Mission and Atal Bhu Jal Yojana was organized under the chairmanship of Collector and Chairman Pratap Singh. The Collector reviewed the schemes in detail. Details of the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission related to door-to-door water so far was given by Superintending Engineer, Public Health Engineering Department, KC Meena. He said that due to lack of budget allocation for the work already done, the progress of the scheme is being affected. Taking serious note of the non-deposit of contribution amount collected earlier for door-to-door water connection under the scheme in the accounts of the Village Water and Sanitation Committee, the Collector directed the Zilla Parishad CEO to take concrete action in this regard. The progress of Atal Ground Water Scheme was also reviewed in the meeting. Dr. ND Inakhiya, the nodal officer of the scheme, informed about the progress of the scheme so far.

The Collector directed the Agriculture Department to immediately spend the amount allocated under the scheme. He instructed the Agriculture Department to increase the progress as the monthly progress of the diggis being constructed under the scheme was low. The nodal officer gave information about the works included in the water security plans till the month of September. The Collector instructed the Zilla Parishad CEO to get 100 percent integration of the proposals of all Gram Panchayats related to the scheme. Departmental officers related to the schemes were present in the meeting.
