Kota : More than 100 police stations in Kota state are waiting for their roof. Due to not having their own building, the police stations are being operated through Jugaad system. The situation is that police stations are running in schools, hospitals, Kisan Bhawan, community halls, hotels etc. Due to lack of adequate space, police work is also being affected. Police sources say that space for the police stations was given temporarily, but many police stations have been running at Jugaad sites for five years.
Different reasons emerged
Various reasons have emerged for police stations not having their own buildings in the state. The allotment of land at some place is stuck for a long time. Land has been found at some places, but budget has not been received. At some places, work could not start due to disputed land being allotted. At some places, both land and budget were not available.

Due to police stations operating in community buildings, nearby people have stopped hosting wedding ceremonies and other social events. Medical services are being affected due to the functioning of the police station in the hospital building. Programs related to farmers are not being held in Kisan Bhawan.
Not getting enough land is a big reason
The land given for RKpuram and Nanta police stations is not sufficient to build the police station. The leases of Ranpur and Cyber police stations have been allotted.
