More than 3 thousand women participated in Barmer camp

Women honored in a program organized at Barmer : Mahavir Town Hall. Started by Barmer District Collector Tina Dabi under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign in the district. Maru Udaan program has become a medium for women empowerment. Under the program, dialogue programs were organized at 12 block level and district level at all the Panchayat Samiti headquarters of the district. In which more than 3 thousand women participated. 5 thousand types of health checkups were done for 1538 women. This program was started on November 12 under the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao scheme of the Central Government. Whose last block level dialogue program was organized in Adel on 28 November. The dialogue program culminated in a district level program organized at the Town Hall of Barmer on 29 November.

District Collector Tina Dabi said that this program was started to promote self-confidence among women as well as their health, education, self-employment and self-defense. Efforts were made to empower women by ensuring maximum participation in these programs organized at the Panchayat Samiti level. 50 sessions were organized in which subject experts interacted with women and girls. In these, women met experts on mental and physical health, financial management, skill and vocational training and government schemes and career counselling. In these sessions, Dr. OP Doody, Advocate Indu Tomar on mental health, Dr. Kavita, Dr. Anita on physical health, representative of Indian Postal Department on financial management, Dinesh Sen of Rajivika, Geeta Dashana, Cairn on skill development and vocational training. K Ganesh Kumar, Lakshmi, Sarita gave information on government schemes.
