Jalore News Desk: The farmers’ protest continues for the 8th day demanding Jalore crop insurance claim amount and determination of Jalore’s rights on the water of Jawai Dam. On Tuesday, more than 30 organizations of the district including Mali Samaj have supported the call of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh. Jalore will remain closed on Wednesday on behalf of farmers. Also, farmers will protest in front of the District Collectorate demanding water. Bharatiya Kisan Union President Ratan Singh Kaniwada said – Farmers’ crop insurance applications are lying in the Jaipur office as an appeal to the Patwar Mandals. Which is an insurance worth about Rs. 125 crores. He said that it should be provided to the farmers on time. Also, Jalore’s rights on the water of Jawai Dam built on the natural flow of Jawai River should be decided. He told that on the call of the Sangh, a Mahapadav is going on in front of the District Collectorate since November 19, in which 8 days have passed. But no assurance has been given yet by the government and administration. He said – Bandh has been called by rotating drums and radio carts in the rural areas of Jalore, Ahor, Sayla, Bagora and Bhinmal subdivisions.
Memorandum submitted to ADM in the name of CM
Here, today in the presence of Mahant Pawan Puri Maharaj of Chamunda Mata Temple, he submitted a memorandum to the ADM in the name of the Chief Minister and supported the farmers by reaching the Mahapadav. A large number of Mali community officials and people were present. Under the leadership of Shiv Sena District President Rupraj Purohit, Shiv Sena officials and workers supported and submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister demanding water.
