Greenery has started appearing in the fields. The left canal originating from the lake was closed. On the demand of farmers, water will again be made available for irrigation. A target of 62 thousand hectares was set for sowing Rabi crops in the district. Under this, sowing has been done in more than 48 thousand hectares so far. The remaining sowing is expected to be completed by December 15. Wheat has been sown in maximum 26 thousand hectares. Due to germination of seeds, greenery is visible all around. Due to increasing severity of winter and dew, crops will now grow well. Farmers have started removing weeds etc. after germination of seeds in the fields. However, farmers had to face problems due to not receiving DAP etc. on time. Due to sowing in most of the areas, there is minimal requirement of DAP. The demand for urea is expected to increase in the coming days.
Water level will be kept at 11 feet
