Most of the roads and streets of 75 wards of Jodhpur Kudi are filled with garbage, only cleaning in 9 sectors

Jodhpur : Kudi area adjacent to Jodhpur city has got the status of municipality, but its condition is worse than the villages. There are heaps of garbage in almost every road and street here. Everywhere you look there is only garbage. The municipality does not even have its own sweepers. 30 temporary sanitation workers have been deployed, who clean only Sectors 1 to 9. Whereas there are 75 wards in the entire municipality area. These remaining areas are cleaned only occasionally. Earlier there was Kudi Gram Panchayat. Recently it was made a municipality. Two employees have been appointed along with the EO, but no plan has been made for cleaning. Area residents are tired of complaining, but no hearing is taking place. The municipality also has markets, restaurants, shops and hotels. 35 thousand houses have been built. In which more than 1 lakh 35 thousand population resides, but there is nothing in the name of cleanliness system. The people of the area themselves spend money and get the cleaning done. The situation becomes more dire when sewerage lines get clogged.

Garbage collection from door to door also depends on the wishes of the employees.

In Kudi Municipality, taxis have been deployed for door-to-door garbage collection. Contract employees charge Rs 60 per month from each house, but these taxis do not come daily. Most of the people are forced to throw garbage outside their homes. Same is the situation outside the societies. There are heaps of garbage outside the societies. The smell is spreading due to this. There is also a possibility of diseases spreading.

Will soon tender for cleaning arrangements

Once the colony is cleaned, the number comes after 1 month.

Kudi Municipality includes Krishna Nagar, Karni Nagar, Rajiv Nagar, Mahavir Nagar, Lakshmi Vihar, Vijay Nagar, Sangam Nagar, Ansari Nagar, Rameshwar Nagar, Janata Colony, Maharishi Gautam Nagar, Kudi Village, Amarbagh Ashiana, Bhil Ki Dhani, Mahadev Nagar, More than two dozen complexes and colonies have come up along with Vastu Nagar, Kheteshwar Nagar, Kudi Housing Board Sector 1 to 16. Cleaning happens here occasionally. The number of each colony comes only after a month.

Kudi Municipality or Dumping Station…

Similar scenes are seen on almost every road side of Kudi Municipality, garbage is not collected for many days, the garbage gets blown with the wind and spreads on the roads.

MoU signed with housing board for cleanliness…

Kudi was earlier a gram panchayat. There was no budget for cleaning. Under an MOU, Housing Board gives Rs 5 lakh to Kudi Gram Panchayat for cleaning Sector 1 to 9 and main roads. Currently, Rs 50 lakh is outstanding in the Housing Board on this account. Its payment is not coming. The municipality has neither opened its account yet nor has any sanitation workers of its own. In such a situation, the cleanliness system has completely broken down.
