MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visits Wayanad, will address the gathering for the first time after victory in the by-election

New Delhi, November 30 (IANS). Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will be on Wayanad tour on Saturday. Priyanka Gandhi will address her constituency for the first time as an MP on Saturday.

During this time his brother and leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will also be present. Both of them will also address a joint public meeting.

The meeting will be held at Mukkam in Thiruvambady assembly constituency of Kozhikode district on Saturday. After this, receptions will be held at Karulai in Nilambur, Vandoor and Edavanna in Eranad at 2.15 pm, 3.30 pm and 4.30 pm respectively.

Priyanka Gandhi took oath in Parliament as a member of the Lok Sabha on Thursday. During this time he had the Constitution book in one hand.

Rahul Gandhi had resigned from Wayanad seat in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. After this, by-elections were held on Wayanad Lok Sabha seat. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra won the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election with a huge margin of 4,10,931 votes.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi had won two seats in the Lok Sabha elections. In this election, Rahul Gandhi contested from Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh and Wayanad in Kerala and won both the seats. However, he later decided to represent Rae Bareli seat in the Lok Sabha. After this decision, Wayanad seat became vacant, voting on which was held on 13 November.
