Bharatpur : BJP has recently faced defeat in the Lok Sabha elections and now BJP’s defeat was certain in the Zila Pramukh elections as well. This is the reason why BJP postponed these elections. MP Sanjana Jatav made these allegations in a press conference at the Circuit House on Saturday. Congress MP Sanjana said that I demand from the state government that the Zila Parishad elections should be held as soon as possible.
He claimed that Congress will have a District Pramukh in Bharatpur. The post of District Pramukh is vacant here for 6 months. The charge of the District Pramukh is with the District Collector, whereas after the post is vacant, the charge is given to the Deputy District Pramukh. Sanjana claimed that the Panchayat elections have been cancelled twice. This is not right in terms of democracy. This is like murder of democracy. The elections were cancelled even after the election schedule was announced. This shows that the BJP is afraid of its defeat. Farmer leader Nem Singh Faujdar claimed that 28 District Council members are in touch with us. Out of these, 17 are from Congress and 9 are from BJP. Congress leader Pratap Singh Maharvar said that this is being seen for the first time that the elections have been cancelled after the election date has been announced. During this, Dayachand Pachauri and Gordhan Singh Rithauti etc. were present.
