Mrinal Kulkarni remembered old moment by mentioning ‘Son Pari’

Mumbai, November 21 (IANS). Actress Mrinal Kulkarni, remembering her show ‘Son Pari’ which aired from 2000 to 2006, said that the show had come at the right time.

Talking about the show, Mrunal said, “It was a very special show for me. My son would often say how my work doesn’t appeal to him or people of his age. But, at the right time, ‘Son Pari ‘She is here.’

She said, “It’s heartening to see how not only the older generation, but even today’s kids watch ‘Son Pari’ and give me so much love and respect.”

The story of the fantasy adventure show ‘Frooti’ is about a young girl, Frooti, who finds a magical ball. By rubbing this ball she can summon Son Pari and her friend Altu.

The actress is all set to be seen in the series “Paithani” based on the life of renowned artisan Godavari, known for her exquisite Paithani sarees, on ZEE 5 Global. The show is the story of a mother and daughter who face many challenges while weaving their last Paithani saree.

Esha Singh, Shivam Bhargava, Syed Zafar Ali and Sangeeta Balachandran will also be seen in the show.

Paithani is a beautiful metaphor of life. Just as a saree is woven from silver, gold and silk threads, life too is made up of different moments. Some moments are bright and golden. Something as simple as silk. It is never straightforward. But, every woman weaves her own story.

She said, “When I read the script, I felt attracted towards the world of weaving and decided to learn its ins and outs. Even a short crash course taught me how challenging it is. Every saree requires months of hard work, patience and dedication. After this, my respect for the artisans who kept this tradition alive increased.”

The actress hopes that the show will also make a place in the hearts of her viewers, just like she has been fortunate enough to experience with her work so far.

“The love I’ve received has been truly priceless and I hope this story continues to resonate for generations,” she said.
