Murder of a young man working as a waiter in a Jaipur catering shop, creating panic

Jaipur : Jaipur: In Minda village, a 30-year-old youth was murdered and his body thrown in the bushes. In protest, the villagers staged a dharna at Kabootar Chowk on Wednesday demanding strict punishment for the killers and compensation to the family. The strike ended in the evening after consultation with the police and administration. After this, post-mortem of the body was done and the body was handed over to the family members. Maroth police station in-charge Jitendra Singh Rathore said that late on Tuesday evening, information was received about the body being found in the Menda river behind the fort in Minda. On information, police including ASP Nemichand Kharia, CO Arvind Vishnoi, SHO reached the spot and took the body to the mortuary of the government hospital of Nawana. The FSL team arrived at night itself and collected evidence. The dead body was identified as Shyam Sundar Soni, 30, son of Ramavatar Soni, resident of Minda. Seeing the condition of the dead body, it is being considered a case of murder. ASP Nemichand Kharia said that the police have detained two youths, they are being interrogated, the matter will be revealed soon.

Here, on receiving information about the murder, the villagers gathered at Kabootar Chowk in the morning. Protested against the murder and demanded compensation. The family refused to accept the body until the killers were arrested and compensation was received. Minda market also remained closed throughout the day in protest. On receiving information, 9th Tehsildar Rameshwar Garhwal and Marauth police station in-charge Jitendra Singh Rathod reached the spot with their team. After a whole day’s discussion, the villagers agreed in the evening. The Tehsildar assured the villagers that financial assistance would be provided to the family of the deceased from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Along with this, efforts will also be made to provide assistance of Rs 5 lakh in case of death of the earning member of the family. The deceased Shyam Sundar worked as a waiter in Soni Catering. He had left home on Tuesday during the day. When he did not return till night, his family members searched for him in the morning. Late in the evening, the dead body was lying naked in the bushes in the dry river behind the fort. There were injury marks on his mouth, body and private parts. Fearing murder, the villagers informed the police.
