Bhangarh Fort is located in the Sariska region of Alwar near the country’s capital Delhi and Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur. This fort has many temples, markets, houses, gardens and the palace of the king and queen. But nothing or any building is safe. From the idol of the temple to the entire fort wall is broken. It is said that it was broken without being completed due to a curse. Bhangarh Fort is also called a ghost town.

Bhangarh Fort, just 80 km away from Jaipur and about 300 km away from Delhi, near the Sariska forest area of Alwar, is known as a haunted place in the world. The fort has temples of Lord Someshwar, Gopinath, Mangala Devi and Keshavraj. The carvings of these temples and Khabos tell of its history and glory. This fort is grand and beautiful. But the entire fort has been broken. However, due to the curse of a Tantrik, this fort got destroyed and the souls of all the people living in it are wandering in that fort. The visit to this fort gives a different experience. The fort becomes empty in the evening and no one is allowed to stay here.

Princess Ratnavati of Bhangarh was very beautiful. The beauty of the princess was discussed in the entire kingdom. Marriage proposals came for Ratnavati from many states. Meanwhile, one day the princess went out to the market with her friends in the fort. She reached the perfume shop in the market and was holding the perfume in her hand and smelling its fragrance. At the same time, a person named Sindhu Sevda was standing at some distance from the shop and looking at the princess. Sindhu was a resident of this kingdom and he knew black magic and was expert in it. Seeing the beauty of the princess, the Tantrik became fascinated by her and started falling in love with the princess and started thinking about winning the princess. But Ratnavati never looked back at him. The shop where the princess used to go to buy perfume. He did black magic on Ratnavati’s perfume in the shop and used Vashikaran mantra on it. When the princess came to know the truth. Therefore he did not touch the perfume bottle and broke it by throwing a stone. The perfume bottle broke and the perfume scattered. He was under the influence of black magic. So the stone went after Sindhu Sevda and the stone crushed the magician. The magician died in this incident. But before he died, he was cursed by the Tantrik that all the people living in this fort would soon die and would not be born again. His soul will keep wandering in this fort. Since then no one stays in this fort at night. It is said that ghosts live here at night and many types of sounds are heard.
People are not allowed to enter after sunset
Presently Bhangarh Fort is under the supervision of the Government of India. A team of Archaeological Survey of India is present around the fort. No one is allowed to stay here at night. After excavation, the Archaeological Survey of India found evidence that it was an ancient historical city. The story of Bhangarh Fort is even more interesting in the story. In 1573, Raja Bhagwandas of Amer built the fort of Bhangarh. This fort remained inhabited for 300 years of habitation. In the 16th century, Raja Madhav Singh, younger brother of Raja Sawai Mansingh, made Bhangarh Fort his residence. Bhangarh Fort is also known as Bhutia Fort. There are many stories about it. That is why lakhs of people come here to visit. This place is also considered a center of paranormal activities.
How to reach Bhangarh?
The timing to visit this fort is from 6 am to 6 pm. After this it is not allowed here. The distance of the fort from Jaipur is about 80 kilometers. It is about 300 km from Delhi. The fort is connected by road. So to come by train you will have to reach Alwar station and from there you can reach Bhangarh with the help of a taxi.
