Hyderabad, 6 December (IANS). Newly married celebrity couple Naga Chaitanya and Shobhita Dhulipala visited Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Andhra Pradesh on Friday.
The couple got married on 4 December. This was her first temple visit after marriage. The couple was also accompanied by Telugu megastar and Naga Chaitanya’s father Nagarjuna.
During this visit, Naga Chaitanya wore the traditional white pancha, while Shobhita Dhulipala wore a yellow saree. Nagarjuna was wearing kurta pajama.
Naga Chaitanya and Shobhita Dhulipala got married in a grand ceremony in Hyderabad. Well-known personalities from Telugu industry attended the event.
Paying homage to his grandfather, the great Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Naga Chaitanya wore the traditional attire ‘Pancha’ at the wedding ceremony, reminiscent of his grandfather’s timeless style.
Shobhita Dhulipala also wore her mother and grandmother’s traditional jewelery for the ‘Ratha ceremony’.
Let us tell you that Rata Ceremony is one of the important pre-wedding rituals among many Telugu traditions. It is an important ceremony before the bride’s marriage. During this event, a bamboo stick is planted with leaves of mango, jamun and jammi trees, which is then worshiped with sacred materials like Panch Lauha, Navratna (nine gems) and Navadhanya (nine grains).
In this tradition a sacred potli (bag) is tied to a pillar, and prayers are offered to the Panch Bhootas (five elements) and the deities of all eight directions. This ritual is believed to be performed to purify and bless the bride before she enters married life.
A source close to the actress said that the actress was wearing her mother and grandmother’s jewellery, which made it even more special for the actress.
Naga Chaitanya previously married actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu in 2017. After 4 years, in 2021, both of them had announced their separation.
