Nagaur : Nagaur Additional Chief Engineer of PWD NH Jodhpur Zone Anoop Gharana reached Nagaur on Thursday to inspect the development works being done by the Public Works Department NH in the city and district. During this time, Bikaner SE and Nagaur’s XEN Deepak Parihar, AEN Dalaram Choudhary were also present with him. The Additional Chief Engineer inspected the ROB under construction for the last 7 and a half years at Bikaner Road Railway Gate LC-61 of the city including Jodhpur Road, the CC road being built from Manasar to Vijay Vallabh Square along with the incomplete four-lane road from Krishi Mandi to Gogelav Tirahe on Bikaner Road. Inspected the work and instructed the local officials to complete the work on time.
It is noteworthy that about half a dozen development works are to be done by NH in Nagaur district, some of which are ongoing and some are to be done. All the works are either running behind schedule or have not started at all. In this, the repair work of Nagaur-Jodhpur road has not started yet and the work of preparing DPR of four lane is also incomplete. When the contractor who had taken the contract to renovate Jodhpur Road did not do the work on time, the department imposed a fine on him and started the action of canceling it, then he went to the court, but there also he had to face defeat. Along with this, the contractor also left the work of four lane from Krishi Mandi Tiraha to Gogelav Tiraha of Nagaur city incomplete, which has been closed for the last six months. Regarding all these works, the Additional Chief Engineer, after inspection, instructed the officers to get them completed.
