Nagaur : Baseball players of Nagaur have hoisted the flag of the district at the state level. Nagaur’s daughters have won the gold medal in the 3-day state level senior women’s and men’s baseball tournament organized in Jaipur. District Baseball Association Secretary Vijesh Banjara said – Nagaur women’s category won in the state level baseball competition organized from 23rd November to 25th November in Jaipur. The team performed brilliantly in the entire tournament and got the gold medal (first place).
When the gold medalist players of the state winning team came to Nagaur, District Collector Arun Purohit, District Baseball Association Chairperson Ghanshyam Sadawat, District Baseball Association President Abdul Rashid, District Sports Officer Sohan Godara encouraged and honored the team.District Collector Arun Purohit Wishing a bright future for the players, he wished them good sporting performance in the future.
District Sports Officer Sohan Godara said – It is a matter of pride that women players of Nagaur participated for the first time and became winners at the state level by performing brilliantly. Chairperson Ghanshyam Sadawat said that players will be provided with modern sports equipment. Softball and baseball are almost similar games. Both the sports associations together will produce good players. On this occasion, Vice President Pramil Nahta, Trilok Chand Deora, Joint Secretary Sunil Chaudhary, Shivkumar Rankawat, Richpal Jakhar, national players Surendra Chauhan, Dheeraj Sankhla welcomed the winning players.
