Nagaur Jal Jeevan Mission work completed only on paper, villages thirsty

Nagaur : Under Nagaur Jal Jeevan Mission, the work of providing water to every household in villages and hamlets has been completed on paper, but on the ground many villages are still facing drinking water crisis. Even after a year of construction of the tank in the border villages Matasukh and Dhehri, leave alone the supply of canal water, even water connections have not been connected in the villages. Water pipelines were laid in the villages two years ago and abandoned. After that the construction work of the tank was also completed, but till now the work of providing tap connection has not been done in both the villages.

The work of providing canal water to every household by the government by 2024 may have been completed on paper, but taps are not yet installed in many villages. People in the villages are eagerly waiting for water. Villagers Bhagatgodara, Hadaman Dhedu etc. of Matasukh and Dhehri told that the water pipe lines of both the villages were broken two years ago. The construction work of the tank was also done a year ago, but leave alone water reaching the villages, tap connections have not even been installed.

water supply through tankers

In Matasukh and Dhehri villages, villagers have to get water supplied by tankers. Due to lack of water in both the villages, tankers have to be ordered from nearby villages at expensive prices. For water supply, water is supplied to the main water sources, but due to leakage of old lines in the fields, water is not supplied to the villages on time. In both the villages, water supply is given as per the fixed time, but due to high demand for water, people have to get tankers from outside villages at expensive prices.
