Nagaur Mission Madhuhari started, young people suffering from diabetes will be treated

Nagaur : Nagaur The risk of diabetes is now being seen even in young children and youth. To deal with this situation, an innovation “Mission Madhuhari” is being started in the state by the Medical and Health Department. Children and youth below 18 years of age suffering from type-1 diabetes will be included in the scope of this innovation. Mission Madhuhari has been started in the first phase in the identified government hospitals of Nagaur, Jodhpur, Udaipur and Jaipur of the state.

Chief Medical and Health Officer of Nagaur, Dr. Jugal Kishore Saini said that under Mission Madhuhari, started under the direction of Dr. Sunil Singh, State Nodal Officer of NCD Program, MCH Wing (Old Hospital) located at the district headquarters in Nagaur, Government Sub District Hospital. Degana and Government Sub District Hospital Jayal have been included. Special clinics have also been opened by appointing pediatricians and general medicine specialists in the government hospitals included in Mission Madhuhari.

Pediatrician Dr. Mularam Kadela and MD Medicine Dr. Sahdev Chaudhary have been appointed while setting up a special clinic under Mission Madhuhari in Nagaur MCH Wing (Old Hospital). CMHO Dr. Jugalkishore Saini took stock of the arrangements of Madhuhari Clinic on Wednesday and gave necessary directions to the specialist doctors. Wing’s Dr. Sushma Harsh was also present on this occasion.

Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Jugalkishore Saini said that under Mission Madhuhari, health follow-up, regular treatment and medicine distribution will be done every Friday to adolescents up to the age of 18 years suffering from type-1 diabetes. On this day, expert doctors will provide free insulin, one gluco meter each and hundred glucose strips per month to such children who come for health checkup.
