Nagaur : Money flowed like water for water in Jal Jeevan Mission Scheme. Despite this, thousands of villages in the area are still deprived of fresh water. Due to lack of effective monitoring of the scheme, Himalayan water has become a dream for the residents of Dhanis. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme of the government, which was started to connect the villages facing drinking water shortage with clean and fresh water, the Har Ghar Nal Yojana has become a mere dream due to lack of effective monitoring.
Due to the responsibility of laying pipelines and water supply being handed over to one contractor, the pipes have been left without connection at many places. Forgot to leave pipes open at many places. Due to this the common people are deprived of water. Even after almost two years of depositing the amount for drinking water connection, we are facing shortage of drinking water. Along with the dhanis of the city, the dhanis of the villages like Nimbadi and Dhadhariya, Butati, Lunsara, Bichpuri, Chakdhani, Rajod etc. of the area are deprived of canal water. Despite laying the pipeline about one and a half years ago, water has not reached many villages of Bichpuri, Chakdhani and Rajod. Villagers have to get water from tankers.
