Nagaur : Nagaur: Revenue employees are on top in bribery while women employees are far behind. Panchayat Samiti is second and Municipal Council/Municipality is third. This is the condition of Nagaur (Didwana-Kuchaman) district for almost twenty years. Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Nagaur is investigating several cases in which arrests are yet to be made. It is also true that in Nagaur district, very few people come forward to complain about bribery, except in a few departments including the police, in others, sanction for prosecution is not given. According to sources, for the last six months, Nagaur ACB has been completely Looks active. He has arrested many police personnel, including the head constable, red-handed while taking bribes, whereas the previous two years had passed almost empty-handed. Only a few cases came to the ACB and most of them failed. This is also because the accused had already received information about the action. The police in Nagaur, which is generally infamous for bribery, is far behind in this regard.
Sources say that these days ACB is running a campaign to make the public aware. ASP Kalpana Solanki along with her team is organizing workshops at various places to motivate the public to complain against bribery. During this period it also came to light in Basni and other areas that no work is done in the government department without bribery. Most people either complain to avoid getting into legal trouble or they fear that their complaint may get leaked or the personnel may harm them. However, it also came to light that even if complaints of bribery are received, in more than half of the cases the complainants later refuse to take action.

Now the arrests are not even half as compared to bribery complaints/cases. In 159 cases, only 60 were arrested, of which 57 were men and only three were women.
Only sixteen were punished…
However, the resolution to eradicate corruption has been going on for years. The public is being made very aware by the government, but when an employee is caught taking bribe, the same department gets involved in saving him. Prosecution sanction is not obtained for a long time or it is prohibited. So far, the court has sentenced only sixteen personnel in so many cases.
If the public wakes up corruption will run away
It was revealed in the workshops/seminars organized at various places that it is necessary to eliminate corruption but everyone wants to avoid coming forward. People are afraid to complain despite knowing that demanding bribe in exchange for government work illegally is a crime. Now it has also started coming into the system that giving bribe and getting the work done is wrong. Everyone has to focus on this, keeping everyone who comes forward to complain confidential. Ready to take action against anyone threatening/tempting him. People should think about their own welfare and come forward in this campaign.
