Jaipur : Today is the second day of IPL Mega Auction 2025. Nagaur District Association cricketer and Rajasthan Ranji team captain Mahipal Lomror has been bought by Gujarat Titans (GT) for Rs 1.70 crore. There is a wave of joy among the officials and players of Nagaur District Cricket Association due to the sale of Lomror in IPL. Mahipal Lomror is a resident of Housing Board of Nagaur city. Lomror scored 125 runs at an average of 15.63 in 10 matches played for RCB in IPL-2024. During this period, not a single century or half-century was scored from his bat.

RCB did not retain

Lomror (Mahipal Lomror), who has experience of 40 matches in IPL, has scored 527 runs with an average of 18.17. RCB did not retain Lomror for this season. After this, his base price in the auction was kept at Rs 50 lakh. Now there is an atmosphere of happiness in Mahipal’s house after being bought by Gujarat Titans for Rs 1.70 crore. Mahipal’s grandfather Umed Singh Lomror had a dream that his grandson should earn name in cricket and grandson Mahipal did it.

Mahipal started playing cricket at the age of 7-8

Police SI Umed Singh had handed over the bat to Mahipal when he was just 2 years old. Mahipal also did not disappoint his grandfather, he made becoming a cricketer the goal of his life. Mahipal learned the initial tricks of cricket in Nagaur itself. After this the coach suggested sending him to Jaipur. Cricketer Mahipal’s father Krishna Kumar told that Mahipal started playing cricket at the age of 7-8 years. His training was done in Jaipur.

According to the woman’s father, our entire family lived in Nagaur. In such a situation, it was not possible to send Mahipal to Jaipur alone at a young age. At that time Mahipal’s grandmother Singari Devi said, ‘I will go with Mahipal, I will make him a cricketer.’ Due to grandmother’s insistence, Mahipal’s zeal and grandfather’s willpower, grandmother and grandchildren shifted to Jaipur in 2012. He was given admission in Surana Academy. Here the grandmother continuously motivated her grandson for sports.

Mahipal had created a stir before the IPL auction.

Mahipal’s life changed at that time due to his grandfather’s decision and grandmother’s dedication. When I got a chance to play for Nagaur district. Due to his excellent performance, Mahipal got selected in the Under-14 team from Rajasthan. This match took place in Mumbai. There Mahipal performed brilliantly and played an unbeaten inning of 250 runs. Apart from this, just before the IPL auction 2025, Mahipal created a stir in the cricket world by scoring an incredible triple century in just 357 balls in this Ranji Trophy. Mahipal is the second batsman to score a triple century for Rajasthan after Akash Chopra’s 301 runs against Maharashtra.
