Jaipur : After Uttar Pradesh, now the demand for changing the names of old buildings and roads has started rising in Rajasthan as well. Civil Lines MLA Gopal Sharma has demanded from Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma to change the names of major roads, buildings and colonies of Jaipur.

Gopal Sharma said that Mirza Ismail Road, who conspired to keep Jaipur away from the freedom movement and is a slave of the capitalists, should be renamed as Lord Govind Dev Marg, Ramganj as Prabhu Ramganj, Albert Hall Museum as Sawai Ram Singh Sangrahalaya, King Edward Memorial as Girdharilal Bhargava Bhawan, Chaugan Stadium as Bhanwarlal Sharma Stadium and Hatwara connected to Civil Lines as Haripura, Hasanpura as Sant Ravidas Nagar and Bharat Jodo Setu as Vikasit Bharat Setu.
Demand to change the name of Jaipur airport
Apart from this, Bhatta Basti should be renamed as Sant Kabir Basti. Gopal Sharma has demanded to name Jaipur Airport after Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, the father of Antyodaya who gave voice to democracy in Rajasthan and the leader of the opposition, Rajya Sabha member, 10-time leader of the legislative party, 3-time Chief Minister and Vice President.
