National flag tampered with in Rajasthan, anger among Hindu organizations, demand for action

Kota : On Monday, during a procession in Kota’s Anantpura police station area, Hindu organizations protested and staged a sit-in at the police station after a video of insulting the national flag and waving the tricolor in the procession by placing a moon and a star in place of the wheel went viral on social media. On receiving the information, Kota MLA Sandeep Sharma also reached the police station. DSP Manish Sharma said that a case has been registered against unknown people and the search for the accused has been started. A large number of people from various organizations reached Anantpura police station and staged a sit-in demanding strict action against those who insulted the national flag. Keeping in mind the sensitivity of the matter, the Additional Superintendent of Police and other officers reached the spot and held talks.

The protest ended after the MLA’s persuasion

MLA Sharma called the SP from the police station and informed him about the entire matter and asked him to take strict action. The MLA said that he will not tolerate any insult to the national flag. Police officials assured that appropriate action is being taken. The protest ended after MLA Sharma’s persuasion.

Instructions given to DG for immediate action

Education Minister Madan Dilawar expressed deep displeasure over the tampering of the national flag during the procession. Dilawar said that this indicates a conspiracy against the country. Dilawar spoke to IG Ravi Dutt Gaud and instructed to identify the culprits and take immediate action. He called DGP Utkal Ranjan Sahu and instructed to take the matter seriously and take strict action against the culprits. Dilawar said that such incidents will not be tolerated and those who insult the tricolor will be taught a strict lesson.
