National Pollution Control Day celebrated in Karoli Kaila Devi Temple

National Pollution Control Day was celebrated at Karauli : Kaila Devi Cave Temple located in La Devi Wildlife Sanctuary. An awareness program was organized by Forest Department Karauli under the joint leadership of Kaila Devi Cave Temple Trust and WWF India for prevention and management of solid and waste materials in the temple premises and surrounding areas. During this, he appealed to the devotees and people of the area not to spread garbage.

The program made the devotees coming to the temple aware about environmental pollution and the harm caused by single use plastic. On the initiative of the Forest Department, devotees also came forward and donated their labor. During the campaign, about 135 kg of plastic waste was collected from the entire temple premises and sent to the appropriate place for management by the Forest Department. During this time, 4 dustbins and sign boards for awareness were installed in the temple premises. Kaila Devi Wildlife Sanctuary Deputy Forest Conservator Piyush Sharma said that campaigns were conducted from time to time to make the general public aware of the harm caused by single-use plastic. goes.
