Rajasthan : The slow moving monsoon has covered half of Rajasthan i.e. more than 15 districts. Moderate to heavy rains have started in these districts. Moving ahead from Jaipur on Friday morning, it entered the Shekhawati region. Monsoon rains have knocked in almost all the districts of the state. On Thursday, Dholpur, Kota, Jhalawar, Bundi, Jalore, Jodhpur and Churu received heavy rains. The highest rainfall of 131 mm was recorded in Dholpur. Kota received 67.4, Pali 54.0, Churu 40.6, Chittorgarh 35.0 and Baran received 22.5 mm rainfall. Accidents also occurred in many areas during the rains. 4 people have died while many have been injured in half a dozen rain-related accidents in Marwar and Mewar areas. According to the Meteorological Department, due to the slow speed, this time the monsoon has stopped for more time. Therefore, there is a possibility of more than normal rainfall in the state.
Heavy rain warning in 8 districts
There is a possibility of heavy rain in the districts of Jaipur and Bharatpur division on Friday. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in many districts of the state from 29 June to 2 July. However, monsoon rain is happening in all the districts of the state. At present, light rain is going on in many districts. An alert has also been issued for strong gusty winds along with rain.

Many accidents happened in the state during heavy rains
9-year-old Himanshu Meena, a boy, died after getting electrocuted by an electric pole in Lakapa village of Salumber district.
22-year-old BA student Tararam died after drowning in an open drain in Jodhpur urban area.
Fire broke out in B transformer in Bookna of Karauli district and electric current spread in the house. This killed 16 year old student Priya Meena who was sleeping on the floor. Priya’s parents, 3 siblings and a maternal cousin were injured in this accident. All the injured have been referred to Jaipur.
