Bundi : Bundi, a city famous as Choti Kashi of Rajasthan, received heavy rainfall on Sunday night. Flood-like conditions prevailed in Bundi city. The Naval Sagar lake situated in the city overflowed due to the night’s rain. Water flooded the streets of Bundi city. Water was seen flowing like a river. People had not even woken up on Monday morning when the city was surrounded by floods and cars and musical instruments parked in the streets were seen floating like toys. People woke up to the sound of floods. There was a stir as cars and bikes parked outside many houses were swept away and many people started capturing this scene on their mobile phones. On the other hand, Collector Akshay Kumar has declared a holiday in government and private schools on Monday in view of the flood conditions and the possibility of more rain across the district. However, teachers have been called in government schools.
The city is situated in front of the outlet of Nawal Sagar Lake
The Naval Sagar lake in Bundi, a city surrounded by hills, overflowed. And its outlet water came directly into the city. Because when the lake was built, there was nothing but a forest there but today the city is settled in front. The situation of Balchand Pada became serious. Ganesh ji of Nag Pans, Brahmandeshwar Gaushala Bohra Kund, Abhaynath Mahadev, Manshapurna Ganesh temple got submerged. Cars and bikes got swept away in the strong flow of water in Nagdi market. A young man also started flowing in the water. But, he was saved by holding the pole.

Looking at the flood situation, the water of Naval Sagar lake has reached from Nagdi Bazaar to Chaumukha Bazaar, Sadar Bazaar, Meera area of the city. Water is flowing with a strong current on the roads. At some places, the city was cut off due to the overflowing of rivers and streams. Due to the rain, the police and administration are on alert throughout the district. The administration has issued a toll free number 07472444177 for the people trapped in the rain.
Jait Sagar lake is also in spate
Due to overflowing of Naval Sagar lake, water filled many shops of Nagdi market. Half a dozen rivers of Bundi district are in spate. Water is overflowing on culverts at many places. Due to which traffic has been disrupted. Contact with the district headquarters has been completely cut off. Jait Sagar lake located in Bundi city is also in spate. This city is surrounded by hills. In such a situation, when it rains, water from the hills enters the lakes at a fast speed. Collector Akshay Godara said that the district administration is on alert and is engaged in all the arrangements.
