NCC unit will be set up at Nagaur : Nagaur District Headquarters. For this, three hectares of land has been allotted on Bikaner Road. With the establishment of NCC unit in the district, dependence on Jodhpur will reduce, while college students of the district will get more opportunities to join NCC. If everything goes according to plan, NCC unit will soon be established at the district headquarters. It is noteworthy that the state government had announced in the budget 2024-25 to establish NCC unit at Nagaur district headquarters. In compliance with the same, as per the instructions of the District Collector, Sub Divisional Officer Govind Singh Bhinchar has registered a complaint by allotting 3 hectares of land free of cost for NCC Unit 6 Raj from Khasra No. 81/843 on Bikaner Road. It is noteworthy that NCC officer Dr. Premsingh Bugasara and others were trying for the NCC unit for a long time.
Students will get benefit
As per the continuous demand of the students of Nagaur, the youth of the area will benefit from the establishment of NCC unit. Along with becoming civilized citizens through NCC activities, there will also be support in career building and the foundation of nation building will be strengthened through trained cadets. It is noteworthy that at present 6 Raj Battalion NCC units are operating from Jodhpur. On its behalf, NCC activities are conducted in the colleges of Nagaur and other districts including Jodhpur, Pali, Didwana-Kuchaman, Phalodi. Now it has been transferred from Jodhpur to Nagaur, hence its jurisdiction will also change. This will include Nagaur, Didwana-Kuchaman and surrounding districts. Once the NCC unit is established in Nagaur, a Colonel rank commanding officer will be posted here. Office, armoury, training area, accommodation and mess for food will be constructed in this unit. An office of a regularly working officer in the Navy will be established at the district level.
