Churu : Rajasthan Police has arrested a fake woman police officer, who cheated people at various places for three years by posing as a Sub Inspector in Delhi Police. The arrested accused Anju Sharma, who is a resident of Deogarh in Churu district, is accused of duping unemployed youth of crores of rupees by promising them government jobs.
Was seen in Delhi Police uniform
Police said that Anju Sharma had made a fake ID card, in which she was described as a SHO of Delhi Police. Many photos and videos have also been found from her, in which she is seen in Delhi Police uniform. Preliminary investigation has revealed that he had purchased this uniform by spending only a few thousand rupees and through this he defrauded people.
Fake police officer lived a luxury life
Police investigation also revealed that Anju Sharma was living a luxurious life and she duped many youths of Churu, Hanumangarh, Fatehabad, Sirsa and Panipat in the name of getting them government jobs. Taranagar DSP Rohit Sankhla said that Anju has confessed to defrauding her relatives and neighbors of crores of rupees.
Fake inspector has cheated lakhs of rupees
One victim, Mahavir Singh, had lodged a complaint with the Sahwa police, in which he said that Anju had duped him of Rs 12.93 lakh in the name of getting him the job of a head constable in Delhi Police. Churu SP Jai Yadav said that Anju was availing VVIP facilities for the last three years by posing as a lady sub-inspector of Delhi Police.
A grocery store worker becomes IPS
The police took Anju into custody and interrogated her, in which she accepted all her allegations. Police are conducting further investigation in this case so that other victims can be identified and they can be brought to justice. It is noteworthy that a few days ago, a fake IPS was caught in a similar manner in Jaipur. He used to work at a grocery shop outside the IPS Training Center in Mussoorie. But he posted photographs of himself in IPS uniform and told his family that he had become an officer. After that, claiming himself to be an IPS of Punjab cadre, he got engaged and also took huge dowry.
