NHAI imposed this much fine on the construction company in the case of road collapse here in Rajasthan

Dausa : National Highway Authority has taken action in the case of road collapse near Bhandarej Interchange on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and has imposed a fine of 50 lakhs on the construction company. Along with this, team leader Sukumar has been dismissed from service for the failure of the construction engineers. A high level team also came on Thursday to inspect the highway.

Questions raised on the working style of NHAI

It is noteworthy that the negligence in construction was exposed when a deep pit was formed in the middle of the road near Bhandarej interchange in Dausa on the central government’s dream project Delhi-Mumbai Expressway two days ago. Also, questions were raised on the working style of NHAI. The central government and the National Highway Authority have taken this seriously and started investigation and action. Traffic has now been made smooth by repairing the pit on the highway.

This is the country’s longest expressway

In fact, the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, which is said to be the longest expressway in the country, is now exposing its quality. A portion of the road collapsed at pillar number 182.300 near Bhandarej Interchange, causing chaos in the entire area. However, there was no loss of life, which was a big relief.

Road built at a cost of 1 lakh crore

It is noteworthy that the cost of building this expressway is about Rs 1 lakh crore. It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi on 12 February 2023. At that time it was described as an excellent example of the country’s infrastructure.
