Nipah virus alert in Rajasthan, know the symptoms, safety instructions issued

Jaipur : After a death due to Nipah virus in Kerala, an alert has been issued for Nipah virus in Rajasthan as well. Director of the state health directorate Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur has issued orders in this regard.

All health centers on alert

The Health Directorate has instructed the principals of all medical colleges, CMHOs and PMOs to remain alert and share information about suspected patients coming to the hospital.

Symptoms and dangers of Nipah virus

Doctors have said that patients of Nipah Virus complain of severe headache and fever. Its symptoms can become severe over time and this can increase the risk of brain infection or encephalitis.
Special monitoring on passengers coming from Kerala

The administration has given instructions to keep an eye on the passengers coming from Kerala. Hotel operators have also been alerted to keep an eye on the tourists.

Appeal to take safety and caution

To prevent the outbreak of Nipah Virus, the state administration has also appealed to the general public to remain alert and seek immediate medical help in case of any suspicious symptoms.
The Health Department of Rajasthan has assured to take all necessary steps in this regard so that the outbreak of Nipah Virus can be prevented from spreading in the state.
